How to install
- Download Official Windows Installer: Visit the official PortSwigger website, navigate to Downloads, and select the Windows (x64) executable installer for Community Edition or Professional.
- Launch Setup Executable: Open your system Downloads directory and double-click the setup file. Click Yes on the Windows User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
- Execute Installation Wizard: Click Next on the welcome screen, select your target installation directory (e.g., C:Program FilesBurpSuiteCommunity), and choose shortcut locations.
- Complete Extraction: Click Next to let the installer copy files, configure the bundled Java Runtime Environment (JRE), and create application shortcuts.
- Launch Burp Suite & Configure Proxy: Open Burp Suite from your Start Menu, accept the license agreement, select a temporary or disk project, click Start Burp, and use the built-in Open Browser button under the Proxy > Intercept tab to begin security testing immediately.
