Overview
Download AutoCAD for Windows is a computer-aided design (CAD) application developed by Autodesk, used for creating precise 2D drawings and 3D models. Since its release in the early 1980s, it has become one of the most widely used design tools across architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and interior design. What started as one of the first CAD programs to run on personal computers rather than expensive mainframes has grown into a full design platform used by millions of professionals worldwide.
On Windows, 94fbr AutoCAD installs as a full desktop application, giving you access to its complete drafting and modeling toolset locally on your machine, while also connecting to Autodesk’s cloud services for file storage, collaboration, and access to the AutoCAD web and mobile apps included with a subscription.
Since Autodesk discontinued perpetual (one-time purchase) licenses back in 2016, AutoCAD today is only available through subscription plans, or through Autodesk Flex, a pay-as-you-go token system for those who need it occasionally rather than daily.
